New and expectant moms often find therapy to be an essential tool for wellness during this significant time
Build understanding to identify, manage, and reduce symptoms over time
I treat relationship issues, eating disorders, life transitions, career issues, sexuality and marginalized identity, and self-exploration.
I'm here for the moments where it feels like too much.
The transition to motherhood can feel like a loss for many women. It can be extremely overwhelming to navigate everything that's new, scary, and unfamiliar.
If motherhood isn't feeling like you thought it would, you may be one of the 1 in 5 women who experience a mood or anxiety disorder while pregnant or postpartum, or the 90% who experience scary thoughts during this time.
I'm here to tell you that you are not alone, I won't judge how you feel, and I know it doesn't have to continue to feel this way. Let's get you feeling better, sooner.
I've trained with some of the nation's top professionals and have dedicated myself to providing new and expectant moms with the best care possible.
Anxiety and depression impact millions of adults in the US each day, and yet, make you feel so isolated. In therapy, we can shine a light on the darkness you may be feeling, and work to alleviate the tension you have been carrying with you.
I work with clients who experience depression by targeting thought patterns and core beliefs that are linked with feelings of depression. My clients and I work together to understand their history, and work toward long-term sustainability of their mental health and wellbeing in the future.
In treating anxiety, I offer clients a balance of in-depth work and concrete coping strategies. Our work will help you to know yourself better to understand the root causes of anxiety, and take back your life.
My clients are better able to understand their triggers, and experience reduced symptoms consistently over time.
I help clients learn to better navigate friendships, family, and romantic relationships. Oftentimes, this work includes improved communication, learning to set boundaries, or processing and understanding a history of painful relationship traumas.
I started my career as a clinician at one of the nation's most prominent eating disorder treatment centers, and this focus area has been a long-time passion of mine. Clients seek treatment with me for eating disorders because I can sensitively attune to the painful experiences you describe, and provide a safe and honest place for healing. Paired with excellent nutrition and/or psychiatric care, our work together can help you to build a healthier and more balanced relationship with food, your body, and yourself.
No matter our age, life transitions can be overwhelming, and can have serious consequences for our mental health if not cared for sensitively. Wherever you are in your journey, I endeavor to provide support to help you feel more stable and secure during and after this shift.
Work can be a significant source of stress for many individuals - especially for professionals in NYC. I offer insights to help you better understand your narrative around work and career, in order to reduce stress and increase confidence to better meet your professional and personal goals.
In a world where so many do not accept us as we are, I welcome your most honest and vulnerable self with safety and great care. I am a non-judgmental and accepting presence for you, whether you are seeking to uncover more about your identity, or want support in healing from old wounds. Our work together can empower you to reach greater confidence and self-acceptance.
Many people seek out therapy for the simple but difficult endeavor of learning more about themselves. I support many clients by offering a safe space to talk through their past and present selves in order to build a healthier future self. I believe improved self-awareness is our greatest tool for personal growth and change.
